Podcaster Charlamagne Tha God’s advice for President Joe Biden for the midterms involves Biden letting “every single person” locked up “federally for a non-violent marijuana offense” out of jail.
During the radio host’s “Brilliant Idiots” podcast, co-hosted by comedian Andrew Schulz, the 44-year-old TV personality went on a NSFW rant, calling it “incredibly disrespectful” for the president to call WNBA Brittney Griner’s nine-year sentence for cannabis possession in Russia, “unacceptable.”
His co-host pointed out that it was then-Senator Biden who “created the bill that put people away for far longer” here in America, referring to the Law Enforcement Act of 1994.
Charlamagne said it wasn’t just the “94 crime bill, but there was the 88 crack laws” and “the 86 mandatory minimum sentencing laws” that Biden was a part of.
“It’s like, yo, we live in a country where right now, if Joe Biden wanted to — don’t need no votes, no nothing,” he added. “He could literally pardon every single person that is federally jailed for a non-violent weed offense. He could pardon every single body. There’s motherf***ers doing life in jail for an ounce and a half of marijuana right now.”
